The first panel discussion  "Ecosystem & alliance – ASEAN Young Entrepreneurs future through strategic collaboration" features luminary speakers and panelists specialized in different areas:

Mr. Mohit Mehrotra – Lead Partner, Monitor Deloitte APAC

10+ years of Consulting Experience

Mohit is the regional lead for the strategy practice across all industries. He has been working with Deloitte Consulting for 10+ years.

Delivered advisory services to various Governments, Telcos, Real estate businesses, Consumer Businesses and Financial institutions in the region. Mohit has managed regional engagements to address strategy, value proposition development, segmentation, distribution and profitability related issues.

He has written numerous articles in publications such as Financial Times, Straits Times, Asia Insurance Review, Business Times, GT News, Asian Banking & Finance to name a few.

Mr. Nguyen Anh Duc –  Board’s Member, Chief Executive Officer of Saigon Co.op

Mr. Nguyen Anh Duc studied MBA and worked in Australia before backingto Vietnam and working at Saigon Co.op. He is Acting Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Saigon Co.op, Vietnam’s Top leading retailer – Top 500 Retailers of Asia Pacific. Saigon Co.op has been owning the most retail formats with variety of customer segments in Vietnam. He is also the Standing Vice Chairman of Association of Vietnam Retailers (AVR).


Mr Duc is also in charge of management positions at some leading companies:

- Chairman - Saigon Medical Investment JSC (MECO)
- Chairman - Cho Ray - PhnomPenh JVLLC (Cambodia)

In addition, Mr Nguyen, Anh Duc is a council member of Asia Pacific Consuming Cooperatives Alliance; Advisory Council member of VISA, council member of University of Economics Ho Chi Minh city (UEH), and university lecturer.

Ms. Nguyen Phi Van – Chairwoman - Vietnam Angel Network

Nguyen Phi Van holds an MBA from Australia majoring in marketing communication. Her experience spans over 20 years as a senior executive in brand, retail, and franchise development across global emerging markets in Asia, The Middle East, Africa, and Eastern Europe. She is currently advisor to Project 844 under the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam on startup & innovation, chairwoman of Vietnam Business Angel Network, and Open Innovation Vietnam.

Phi Van is 2015 award winner of Retail Leadership presented by Asia Retail Congress, 2017 & 2018 award winner of 100 Top Great Retail Minds presented by World Retail Congress, 2019 award winner of ASEAN Outstanding Business Award, and Top 100 influential women in global franchising. Phi Van is the author of six books, “Franchising – The Short Route to Global Markets”, “Cross The Rice Field, Reach The World”, “Go Global: An MSME’s guide to global franchising”, “I, The Future and The World”, “In Search of Myself”, and the first ever AI-human collaborated book in Asia titled “Nym - My Future Self”.

Mr. Gavin Vongkusolkit - Founder/Managing Director of Glowfish Coworking Community, President of Thai Young Entrepreneur Chamber of Commerce


Gavin started a family funded real estate company in 2008 to purchase an office property from his grandfather to pave way for his retirement. A deep believer in the power of creativity and connectivity, he transformed this otherwise straightforward office businessinto Glowfish, one of Thailand’s very first and largest coworking spaces for entrepreneurs.

Managing a coworking community requires that Gavin spend a large part of his career helping young entrepreneurs and their businesses. This has given him an insight into the next generation businesses and the mindset behind them – an insight he leveraged when helping the Thai Chamber of Commerce found the Young Entrepreneurs Chamber (YEC).
Gavin is the current Chairman of the ASEAN Young Entrepreneur Council.

Ms. Charmaine Cobankiat Leong – Executive Vice President of Philippine Young Entrepreneurs Association (PYEA), Co-founded Synersign Corporation

Charmaine C. Leong co-founded Synersign Corporation, a company which focuses primarily on partnerships in research, innovation, and developments. The company's broad range of interests, includes food, service, trading, design, IT & technology, construction, real estate and investments.

After graduating from De La Salle University Manila with a degree in Management of Financial Institutions, she trained under products and development in HSBC Philippines, and then as a Certified Securities Specialist in Nieves and Eastern Securities respectively. Her background in Banking, Finance and Business gave her a well rounded experience in terms of product conceptualization, process optimization, risk assessment, strategic finance and marketing.

Mr. Mai Huu Tin – Chairman and CEO of U&I Investment Corporation (Unigroup)

For more than twenty-two years Dr Mai Huu Tin has been Chairman and CEO of U&I Investment Corporation (Unigroup) which he founded, currently with more than 60 subsidiaries and affiliates that employ altogether more than 20,000 people.

He was elected for two terms as a non-party Member of the National Assembly of Vietnam between 2007 to 2016, Vice President of Vietnam Youth Federation from 2009 to 2019, President of Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs' Association from 2011 to 2014, Chair of the Vietnam Chapter of YPO (Young Presidents’ Organization) from 2016 to 2018, and President of the Vietnam Chapter of Eisenhower Fellowships from 2013 to 2020.

He is currently a member of the Private Sector Development Committe of the Prime Minister of Vietnam, President of World Vovinam Federation, President of Vietnam Vovinam Federation, and Chairman of Binhduong Province Business Federation.
